Château Plain Point Fronsac 2022
AOC Fronsac
A blend of Merlot, an emblematic grape variety of its region, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, Château Plain Point expresses notes of fruits and spices. The mosaic of terroirs of the estate allows for a wide range of expressions of these grape varieties, resulting in great complexity.
The aging in barrels subtly perfects this aromatic bouquet by bringing some toasted notes. The ideal companion for exceptional moments, this wine embodies not only the perfect present but also a safe bet that will delight the most demanding palates.

Tasting Notes:
An interesting estate in full expansion, with expanded vineyard and a new winery. Touch of gunsmoke reduction, with grainy almost chalky texture to the tannins, and plenty of fresh zip of lemongrass and redcurrant set against smoky espresso and blueberry fruit. Confident and well put toegther; plenty of momentum through the palate, impressive, if high alcohols. Aged in 1/3 cement vats, 2/3 barrels of both new and one year old oak.
